I went to the hospital on thursday (5th) and they basically said that they don't know whats causing my pain. So they are sending me for an emergent CT scan and see what that says. Its not the best test in the world for crohns but it is the nicest! They wanted me to have another camera but i really struggled with the stuff i have to drink... I bet your all just thinking 'get it down ya neck... Be right' but it is f**king vile stuff! Im usually ok with 2 litres or the stuff but i really couldn't get it down me the last time. My mom had to treat me like a child (not meant bitchy, she had to) just to get it down me... YUK!!! And taking my pain killers more again. That ok i guess just don't want to be dependent on them. So I'm going to go for that and hopefully will get me sorted out! Fingers crossed!

Its been a while... :/
Wow its been a long time since i wrote on this blog...
So getting right to it...
My Crohns is bad right now :( it really sucks. Its like ive taken 20 steps back in my recovery. I recently found out i was lactose intolerant, so thats yet ANOTHER thing i cant have. For people who dont know what it is... Basically i cant have dairy products. I.E. chocolate, butter, milk (not that i liked milk in the first place but i had it sometimes), yogurt, basically anything that has milk in it is a no go for me. Sends my stomach mad. I had a little bit of chocolate, and i mean 1 SQUARE!!, and my stomach would not shut up and it hurt... No fun at all. So I'm on the hunt for yummy dairy free stuff to eat... So far the best I've tried is Morrison's free from cherry bakewells and Sainsbury's free from chocolate muffins < they are actually really good yummy! Notice that its all fattening goodness =D
So dairy is added to the very long list of foods i can not have... Life is fun :|
I did have my capsule camera... But that didn't show anything so they are a bit clueless why i am in pain when all my tests show that my Crohns is not active :|
I am going to see my nurses next week and hopefully they will sort me out...
Fingers crossed eh?

Bile study... No go for now
Didn't get my bile study on the 27th! Turns out that it collided with the capsule camera that i have on the 5th. I need to take a tablet for the bile study and then have a scan, show up a week later and have another scan. For the capsule camera (the actually name is long and i cant spell it! Lol) i have to take a table prior to the actual camera because if the camera got stuck i would have to have a operation to get it out so they make you take one before and have a scan to see where it is on if it got stuck. If it did it would just dissolve. Apparently i can have both tablets in my body, that would be bad so had to get another date. Don't have a clue what the bile study will show or how it works but i trust the doctors. The scary thing is though that its in the Nuclear medicine department! Yep, you read that right... NUCLEAR, it was a bit un-nerving in the waiting room, there was radioactive warning signs everywhere! Scary right? But I'm sure its safe-ish or they wouldn't do it right? Oh well i cant think about the radio-activeness! Maybe it might give me powers... Ooooo... The ability to talk to animals would be good, I'm a weirdo i know!
Got my new date through, 1st of may. Bless the receptionist, he asked when i couldn't make it and i said the 9th may because that is my appointment with a doctor for my results so he has got me in before that date. Bless him.
Will let you guys know how the actual test goes when i have it.
Fingers crossed guys.

Bad times
Just a short one.
My crohns is crazy right now! Im in pain all the time and it sucks. Any one wanna swap stomachs for a while? Ha. But i got dates for the hospital plan. Having a bile study on 27th, you don't even want to know what that it, trust me. Then i will be having my capsule camera on the 5/4/12
I had a capsule camera a couple of years ago. Thats what made them decide that i needed a operation so fingers crossed it shows something and they get it sorted. Bored of been in pain now. Bored of been ill.
Just got to wait for my intolerance tests to come through and then we sorted.
So looking forward to my tests and then hopefully get some answers.
Little moan over and i will keep you updated :)

Food
With crohns i cant have certain foods because it will set ma crohns off and that is horrible when it happens. Every one is different, for example i cant have beef but other people will and it wont have any affect. I suppose it just depends on the body.
Some of my food No No list is;
Beef < that sucks i miss burgers
Spicy foods < never been that bothered about spicy food
I got to have plain food, i.e, NO spiceyness at all!
Chocolate orange < that sucks even more
Raisins < that is crap because i love raisins!
Cheesy bread < you get that at morrisons its yummy
Treacle pudding < not that bad
Oranges < i like a nice orange
Fresh orange < thats kinda crap but not that bad.
And it goes on...
Im still finding out what i can and cant have, its a process really.
I have found out that if i have a big meal that makes me rush. Went out for a christmas do with work (i was a christmas temp 2011) and i had a meal with chicken and chips, all the things i can have and afterwards i was running to the toilet. I carry body spray everywhere. Another down side of crohns. Having to use public toilets but i have a disabled toilet key so its not all bad.
I am finding out everyday what i can and cant have so will update when i find another thing to add to the list.

Crohns sucks
I have had crohns for about 4 years now and i gotta say... Not that great so far. Ive never really been in remission yet. Its been crap for most of that time.
Just for the people that don't know what crohns is, its basically ulcers in the bowel that get inflamed and cause serious pain, going to the toilet way to much if you get me, sickness, tiredness, dehydration and can also develop into cancer! Not good as you can see. Wouldn't wish it on my worse enemy.
My crohns has been really bad for about a month and half now. I usually just push through it and get on with life but this flare up has been different. Ive actually given in to it. I have had bad pain for all that time so of course I've been taking lots of pain killers and been high most of the time, which isn't actually too bad :). Ive not had energy to do anything so I've been in bed watching TV and going on the net for most of the day, again not too bad but it does get boring. I just want to be able to go out for the WHOLE day, instead of going out for about an hour then get too tired and want to go home. Even on my birthday, i got money that i wanted to spend so me and my mom set off to town and after about 20 mins i needed to sit down!! Is that the normal feeling of a 25 year old? Feel more like a 80 year old. I do have a bright side though, i have lost nearly a stone! Woo hoo! Not the best way to loose it but ill take what i can get :) i have kinda gone off food, not eating much at all. Im trying to eat more but i just cant manage it. Thats another side effect, one of the nice ones :) ha!
Been to the hospital about it and they have come up with a plan. I got to have a capsule camera and have tests to see if I'm intolerant to milk and sugar. Hope I'm not intolerant to sugar because i do like chocolate and sponge, yum yum! And other things of course :) But if all else fails I'm going to see the pain nurses and find a way to manage my pain. Thats part of the plan i don't like, i don't want to be on pain killers for the rest of me life, that would be horrid.
I just want to get better so i can work and go out for more than 2 hours and just get on with my life.
With this flare up though I'm getting closer to my cats, Tabatha and Jasper. On my very bad days they don't leave my side which is very sweet. Tabatha knows when I'm in loads of pain because when i am, i put my knees to my chest and she just looks at me and meows. i have to say 'I'm ok' and stroke her because otherwise she doesn't shut up and starts to head butt me.
Think thats it for this blog. I know it was short but i will post more soon.
